Job Description
Our client is considered a Global Leader in the Oil & Gas manufacturing industry. They have several new positions for experienced Technologists / Chemists in the areas of Water Injection / & Reservoir Engineering.
Technologist with experience in the international oil industry:
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join an established team involved in oilfield production chemistry, microbiology, corrosion, reservoir modeling and process engineering, for the international oil industry.
Successful applicants will be responsible for a variety of contracts/tasks within the ever-changing portfolio of consultancy and implementation contracts worldwide.
These may include process facility audits, troubleshooting, monitoring, practical sample analysis, data evaluation, reporting and so on. Work is often conducted in a team along with our process engineers, to provide input to facilities design as well as involvement in commissioning and operator training.
Key Skills and Experience
Experience
Candidates should have a working knowledge of oil and gas production and/or water injection problems, and the identification and implementation of cost-effective solutions. As a number of job positions are available, candidates with varying levels of experience are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a degree in a relevant subject e.g. geochemistry, corrosion, reservoir engineering, chemical engineering, etc. In addition, candidates should, ideally, have a current offshore survival certificate and a medical certificate, which demonstrates the candidate’s suitability for working offshore. They should have also held a previous related position in the oil industry.
Aligned Skills
Candidates must be able to write concise, informative, English language reports, in a professional manner and be able to demonstrate examples from previous work history.
Candidates must also have excellent interpersonal skills.
Technologist (Reservoir Engineering)
Key Skills and Experience
Required previous experience:
Working knowledge of some reservoir modelling software, e.g. Eclipse, Petrel, and preferably some process engineering software, e.g. Hysis, ScaleChem, Multiflash.
Required Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of oil and gas reservoir geology, well design (simplified), fluid flow, rock properties, hydrocarbon properties (PVT), and production processes, including water and gas injection.
Key Skills and Experience
Required previous experience:
Working knowledge of some reservoir modelling software, e.g. Eclipse, Petrel, and preferably some process engineering software, e.g. Hysis, ScaleChem, Multiflash.
Understanding of oil and gas reservoir geology, well design (simplified), fluid flow, rock properties, hydrocarbon properties (PVT), and production processes, including water and gas injection.
First degree preferably in Chemical Engineering, Higher degree (Masters or PhD) in Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering
