Deputy OLASS Manager Opportunity BLUD0527 HMP Ford (BN18 0BX) £28,450 - £38,950 for Permanent Full Time Post (pro-rata for fractional) £21.59 per hour for Sessional Tutors / £14.66 per hour for Sessional Trainers

Our Client is currently the largest national Provider of Offender Learning in the UK; our highly qualified employees are fully trained in security arrangements in order for them to deliver a responsive curriculum within prisons across England 52 weeks a year.

The aim of the Directorate is to lead, manage and develop provision in order to reduce re-offending and contribute to social inclusion by providing a wealth of curricula experiences including a core curriculum of Skills for Life, Personal and Social Development and work related training.

They have the following permanent vacancies within the South East Region at HMP Ford, Arundel, West Sussex:

Deputy OLASS Manager x 1 Full Time 37 hrs per week £28,450 - £38,950 Reporting to the OLASS Manager you will effectively plan and manage the deployment of staff and resources, in line with College policies and procedures, to deliver a high quality learning experience. You will be required to deputise for the OLASS Manager in their absence.

You will be responsible for recruiting, developing and maintaining a flexible, qualified and experienced delivery team of which you will have day to day management of and liaise with the Regional HR Advisor as necessary. You will deal with any breaches relating to contractual agreements and in line with the College policies and procedures. You will provide a proactive and constructive contribution to the establishment meetings and planning process. You will also ensure the safeguarding of learners and compliance with prison security requirements.

You will have excellent change management and people skills; have a good working knowledge of education quality systems and procedures and be an enthusiastic problem solver/decision maker.

You will have the ability to inspire a stimulating learning environment, and to develop and manage a dedicated teaching team.

They are also seeking Sessional Tutor and Sessional Trainer applications in subject areas including, but not limited to Business Enterprise, ICT, Literacy & Numeracy, Social & Life Skills, Art, Preparation for Work, ESOL, Learning & Support, Customer Care, Barbering & Hairdressing, Construction, Motor Mechanics, Industrial Cleaning, and Hospitality & Catering.

To succeed within these roles, candidates will need to have a pragmatic and non judgmental approach to their work and the flexibility to adapt to meet learner requirements when necessary.
