Job Description

Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Candidates must

• €¢ have experience with mechanical and electronic assemblies, motor build experience ideal

• €¢ Be enthusiatic and able to adapt to a constantly changing work environment

Job title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler (motor section)

Reporting to: Production Cell Leader

Salary: From £7 per hour based on experience and qualification. Benefits include: 23 days holiday, pension, life cover and excellent transport links: walking distance from Alton train station and on-site parking just off the A31.

Hours: 39hrs per week (although flexibility is often required in order to meet customer deadlines) (7.30am – 4.30pm Mon – Thurs, 7.30am – 12.30pm Fri)

General responsibilities:

• €¢ To carry out general electro-mechanical assemblies to drawings and specifications

• €¢ Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• €¢ General light soldering of wiring and brush assemblies

• €¢ Mechanical assembly of components and fixings.

• €¢ Bearing fitting

• €¢ Understanding and reading of assembly drawings specifications and assembly instructions

• €¢ Magnet bonding and gluing

• €¢ Drilling and pining of shafts

• €¢ Polishing and dressing of armatures

• €¢ Motor (brushed and brushless)final assembly

• €¢ Motor test

• €¢ Motor inspection

• €¢ Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures

• €¢ Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
