Full Description:
Melical Laboratory Assistant - 30 hours per week
Role Overview - You will support the small laboratory team by undertaking basic laboratory work and assisting biomedical staff in technical tests, and technical administrative procedures, where training has been received and competence has been established. You will broaden your skills and experience, working in a pathology department that has seen a major investment programme in state of the art equipment and employee training and development.
Nuffield Health is Britain’s largest healthcare charity. We’re balancing our social values with strong business discipline to help the UK get healthy and stay that way. We’re all about great people, too – recruiting and nurturing talent in a supportive, development-led setting.
Founded in 1957, Nuffield Hospital Bournemouth is an exceptionally caring environment with 57 beds, 3 theatres, an endoscopy room & 4 treatment rooms in the Outpatient department for minor procedures. Our service provision is varied, covering everything from outpatients and minor procedures through to major surgical specialties.
Right now, we’re looking for Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Bournemouth.
You will also undertake basic Laboratory work to include some technical testing for which we will provide comprehensive training. In addition you will maintain accurate records, clean equipment and the laboratory and provide a lab reception service while delivering wide ranging administrative assistance. A level 2 NVQ or ONC qualification in a scientific discipline would be desirable and you will join us with a high level of competence in computer literacy. You will also be capable of providing strong support to pathology investigations.
Benefits
In addition to continuous professional development, you can expect a competitive benefits package including health insurance, two levels of pension scheme, childcare vouchers and more.
