Job Description

To ensure that individualised care is given to all clients and to give this care.To ensure that all care and nursing procedures are carried out in accordance with the Policies and Procedures Manual and good nursing practice.To ensure that all treatments are carried out as prescribed and in line with good nursing practice. To administer medicines and Controlled Drugs to clients in accordance with prescriptions and set procedures. To ensure that the dignity of the individual client is maintained at all times. To ensure that clients are respectably and comfortably attired and that they are appropriately groomed, i.e. hair brushed, shaved, make-up applied if so desired etc. To ensure the client\'s clothing, chair or bed, table and surrounding floor is clean.To receive new clients and introduce them to other staff and clients. To be familiar with the admission and discharge process of a new client and know all the documentation that has to be completed and given out to relatives/social workers/care managers etc.To plan the day-to-day care of clients and give this care. To supervise the work of other grades of care staff, reporting to the Matron any shortfall in acceptable standards of care.To check and ensure the accurate documentation of matters pertaining to client. You will be NMC registered with a current PIN and willing to undergo a police check against the POVA list.
