Job Description

This is an exciting and challenging defence programme and suitable applicants will already be technical managers or project leaders with at least 5 years post graduate experience. You will already possess 1) a sound technical knowledge. 2) experience in technical resource management 3) knowledge and experience in more than one of Systems Engineering, Command and control systems, Software development and integration, Electrical engineering, Platform integration and Military communications equipment 4) current SC security clearance or the ability to be cleared. Main duties will include a) managing all engineering hardware resources within the project b) working with the engineering capability heads c) developing and presenting plans and costed proposals for any hardware and software requirements the capability heads may have to the senior management d) planning & managing the introduction of new H/W & S/W. e) working with the PMO to ensure that all GFE is properly managed so that it\'s location and status is always known f) ensuring that any non-functioning GFE is notified to the Asset Manager and replaced or repaired as quickly as possible g) providing the Engineering Director with management support as required.
