Full Description:

A Leading Defence Organisation based on the South Coast have an exciting vacancy for a Procurement Specialist. This position is commutable from Portsmouth, Fareham, Southampton and Chichester.

The successful candidate will provide the engineering department with procurement support. This will include supplier identification and selection.

You will support all engineering projects, act as the liaison between the engineering and procurement department whilst identifying opportunities to increase gross margins. You will also contribute to continual improvement of processes and relationships of key suppliers.

It is essential that you have previous experience of purchasing electronic devices and mechanical engineered parts. You must have experience in the sourcing of potential suppliers and the ability to assess supplier capabilities to meet company needs.

In addition you must hold a HNC or degree in an Engineering discipline and CIPS qualified or have CIPS with significant experience in procurement related to product development within an avionics environment.

The salary for this role is £30,000 - £35,000.
