• What’s involved:

Write contracts and service specifications in liaison with Departmental staff /managers as appropriate, and manage the tendering processes for procuring services to comply with the County Council’s Standing Orders

Liaise with Adult Services Contracts Unit to promote and disseminate contracting guidance to line managers to ensure best practice

Develop and maintain a contracts database and to provide reports as requested by the Adult Services Contracts unit and Care group managers to assist in selection of providers and management and monitoring of contracts systems and advising on contracts compliance, liasing with the Adult Services Contracts Unit as appropriate to assist contract management

Assist staff /managers in revising and terminating contracts, to ensure all action taken complies with contract conditions and best practice

Assist staff/managers in managing and reviewing block and individual service contracts with external providers, with particular emphasis on performance indicators to assist in managing performance and quality and resolution of disputes

- minimum of 2 years procurement experience within a social services related context.
- Your experience must have included contract drafting and support work
- MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- CRB check in place - either standard or enhanced

• Anticipated Length of Assignment: 12 months initially, though considered likely to be extended.

• Hours per week: 36, Monday – Friday, normal working hours
